Trev Markland

Trev has been playing music since the age of 7 when he was first introduced to the piano. Fully classically trained, he soon diversified into modern music, jazz and musical theatre.

 

Trev began working professionally in Blackpool’s Tower ballroom in 1979 and since then has worked all over the UK in all aspects of the music industry, including Musical Theatre in which he has musically directed many professional and amateur productions in a range of venues and diverse range of companies.

 

He now specializes in Musical Theatre and together with his wife, Anne, was co-founder of St Oswald’s Dramatists – a community based musical theatre/drama group which has been in existence now for nearly 20 years.

 

Trev now teaches music to all ages and is responsible for professional development in Performance Arts at Sir Tom Finney Community High School, Preston, is Vocal tutor and Musical Director at St Aidans C of E Technology College, Preesall and has been Musical Director for theatre productions at Preston College.

 

Trev has extensive professional experience across all aspects of the music industry and also has a wealth of experience of teaching all age groups, including students with special needs.

 

Anne Markland

Anne has studied dance and drama since the age of 3 and has appeared in reviews, musicals, forces tours, cruises, travelling all over the world.

Other work includes cabaret, children's entertainment, Make-Up artist, touring "Theatre in Education" companies, voice-overs and hosting/compering events.

Anne is a highly experienced teacher of Dance and Drama and has recently retired as Curriculum Leader at a prestigious Performance Arts College. She was BTEC Teacher Of The Year 2012.

Together with Trev , Anne was Founder of St Oswald's Dramatists and has also choreographed and directed for a range of companies, including work with disabled and educational special needs.
